Introduction to the Malaysian Hardware Wholesalers Association
The Malaysian Hardware Wholesalers Association is a platform that brings together hardware wholesalers from all states in Malaysia. It is also a very active association in the hardware industry. The association is located in Selangor, providing members with convenient communication and cooperation opportunities.
Journey Through the History of PPBLM
2006
Formation of the Preparatory Committee

Before 2006, there was no platform representing hardware wholesalers in Malaysia.

To address this, several wholesalers formed a preparatory committee for the establishment of the Persatuan Pemborong Baranagan Logam Malaysia (PPBLM).

President Low Cheng Ho, worked diligently for six months to facilitate the registration process, laying a solid foundation for PPBLM's formation.
2007
Formation of PPBLM

The association was officially established on February 6, 2007, under the initial name of the "Persatuan Pemborong Barangan Logam Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur dan Selangor."

During this period, PPBLM utilized the business premises of Tzik Hzuat Hardware Sdn Bhd, jointly operated by President Lau Kheng Wah, as its registered address.

Renaming to "Malaysia Hardware Wholesalers Association"

On June 13, 2009, the association was renamed "Malaysia Hardware Wholesaler Association," with approval from the Registrar of Societies on June 24, 2009.

Fundraising for Acquiring an Association Office

In June 2014, Dato' Ng Hook proposed the idea of acquiring an association office.

The president acted promptly, forming a committee to spearhead the initiative.

Within two months, RM19,000 was raised, with additional donations continuing to flow in.
President Low Cheng Ho's Selfless Contribution and Dedication

In August 2014, President Low Cheng Ho demonstrated remarkable selflessness, relocating his business office from Kepong to Subang, Selangor, to serve as the association's operational venue.

For eight years, he generously provided the space free of charge, without collecting any rent or utility fees.
2015
Successful Acquisition of a New Association Office

After six months of fundraising, the acquisition committee raised a total of RM2,288,888.

In March 2015, the association achieved its vision by purchasing the four-story commercial building in Selayang, Selangor.

2016
Fundraising for 10th Anniversary Celebration and Office Renovation

To commemorate its 10th anniversary, PPBLM organized a fundraising event and have successfully raised RM508,333.33 for office renovations.

On March 5, 2016, the association hosted the "Year of the Monkey Spring Festival Gathering" and the inauguration ceremony of the 4th Executive Committee at its newly renovated office.
2017
Office Inaugaration and 10th Anniversary Celebration

On February 26, 2017, PPBLM held a triple celebration: the "Office Inauguration Ceremony, 10th Anniversary Commemoration, and Year of the Rooster Spring Festival Gathering."
